Funds

Although TAREA is non-profit making, there are running costs, both for maintaining the office and for conducting studies or implementation of projects. These funds are coming from different sources.

One of these are membership fees. All TAREA members are asked to pay their annual subscription fee every year, as these do help to cover some of the cost. However, these fees only contribute to part of the finance needed. This is also due to the fact that the willingness to submit the fees has unfortunately decreased in the past years.

Most of TAREA's activities are funded by external institutions, which provide finance for specified projects. Furthermore, they sometimes employ TAREA for consulting services. Among these are:

Further funding also originates from other sources, such as foreign embassies, who often fund small-scale projects, and private donors.
